Miss Jimalalud 2016
No fiesta without a beauty pageant and of course the municipality of Jimalalud made no difference. The search for Miss Jimalalud 2016 was held in the municipality gym in front of many VIPs including honorable Roel Degamo. who als entered the stage to greet the hundreds of spectators in the fully packed gym. Here some of the important people before we come to the real stars of the evening.
After invocations and national anthem everybody got introduced, and it was time to start with the real contest. The candidates for the title “Miss Jimalalud 2016” entered the stage in an out fit which was announced as “Las Vegas style”.
We also highly appreciated, that during the actual contest the audience and we did not need to suffer through some dreadful performances of a kid torturing a violin or trying to sing, because it is the son/daughter of a local important personality, making everybody pray for a big hole in the ground to disappear.
The organizers of the contest did a great job with having outstanding performers during the intermissions. We really hope this is sets an example for other municipalities and cities. This is how it has to be done !
