On December 27, 2015 at around 1:29pm an ash eruption occurred from the active crater of the Kanlaon Volcano. The ash eruption of Mt Kanlaon could be heard in the surrounding Barangays and Cities in Negros Oriental and Occidental.

The Sandurot Festival 2015 came to its peak with the Street Dancing parade through the streets of Dumaguete City and the Showdown right after on the stage at Quezon Park.
Miss Dumaguete 2015 was an event split into three parts. We skipped the press-conference as we heard over the years from hundreds of different candidates how they safe the trees, educate the young ones and make the world a peaceful place with social networking.
Saturday saw the soft opening of the Amlan Nature and Adventure Park. Even the mayor of Dumaguete City dropped by to congratulate Amlan’s mayor Benthean Dela Cruz and all the busy hands for their achievement.
Just after Buglasan and St. Paul University celebration, the City of Gentle People gets ready to party again. The Sandurot Festival 2015 & 67th Charter Day Celebration will take place from November 20 to November 29, 2015.
