DFA – ePayment for Passport Applicants

DFA Office - ePayment for Passport Applicants

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has upgraded their system for with a new feature. The ePayment for passport applicants is another step to make the procedure faster and more secure. The new portal enables Filipino Passport applicants to pay their processing fees through selected payment centers all over the nation ahead of their appointment. Additional accepted will be eventually the payment via credit card and debit card as well as over-the-counter cash transactions in selected banks.

ePayment is requirement for Passport Applicants

The new system is a requirement for first time passport applicants as well as renewals and mandatory after implemented nationwide. This is expected to happen before or in the first week of August 2018 and will be part of the Appointment system.

Following steps will make sure process passports fast and effective:

  1. Visit PASSPORT.GOV.PH and schedule an appointment
Read all the reminders carefully before agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of the Online Appointment System.
Choose a DFA Consular Office where you wish to apply for or renew your passport.
Pick the date and time when you wish to apply for or renew your passport.
Fill out all the required fields by providing the information being asked.
Carefully review all the details of your application before clicking SUBMIT.

What are the benefits of the ePayment Portal

The ePayment for passport applicants has a wide range of advantages. First and foremost, it is very convenient for the applicant, as they are able to pay at many different payment centers anytime. This will not only help to save time and steps during the appointment, but also helps DFA to accommodate more applicants.

It also encourages applicants to show up on their scheduled time. The old system was often abused by applicants with making an appointment, but not showing up for different reasons. If applicants don’t show up under the new system, they forfeit their convenience fee and passport processing fee.
Furthermore, it gets rid of Fixers and Scammers, who used and abuses the previous system as a money/making scheme.

      Good day,
Only senior citizens, disabled people, pregnant women, OFW’s and children ages 7 and below are to avail the walk-in lane. A scheduled passport must be made for each individual who does not fall into these exceptions. Hope this helped.

      Regards,
      Daisy
