The Malatapay Market in Zamboanguita is know all over the province for its weekly local trade fair. There you can find all sorts of things from fruits from local farmers, fresh-caught fish from local fishermen, live animals, shoes, bags, ropes, pots, and so much more! However, due to the pandemic, the lively Wednesday market was forced to close. This caused a lot of local farmers, fishermen, and small business owners to suffer economically. A couple of weeks ago, the market was opened once more to the public!

The Malatapay Market is also known as a gateway to the beautiful island of Apo Island. Snorkeling, scuba diving, and a day trip with just having fun in the sun is what you can do in Apo Island. However, due to the pandemic, there are no boats from Malatapay Market going to the said island.
