COMELEC Registration - Requirements & Steps

Aside from getting a Filipino Voters ID, it is a requirement to be a registered voter in a certain barangay to be able to vote during an election. The Barangay COMELEC Registration in Dumaguete City has been scheduled for September 8, 15 and 22, 2018. This privilege to register is given to any Filipino citizen who is not yet a registered voter.

He or she must be a resident of the Philippines for at least a year. He or she must stay in the barangay in which he/she wants to register of at least 6 months. Check the requirements and schedule below:

Barangay COMELEC Registration – Requirements:

  • Employee’s identification card (ID), with the signature of the employer or authorized representative
  • Postal ID
  • PWD Discount ID
  • Student’s ID or library card, signed by the school authority
  • Senior Citizen’s ID
  • Driver’s license;
  • NBI clearance
  • Passport
  • SSS/GSIS ID
  • Integrated Bar of the Philippine (IBP) ID
  • A license issued by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC)
  • Certificate of Confirmation issued by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) in case of members of ICCs or IPs
  • Any other valid ID

NOTE: To register one must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. On or before May 14, 2018, for purposes of Barangay Elections and on or before May 13, 2019, for purposes of National and Local Elections.

8:00 am to 3:00 pm Satellite Registration at Barangay Motong & Balugo

Saturday, September 15, 2018

8:00 am to 3:00 pm Satellite Registration at Barangay Cadawinonan

Saturday, September 22, 2018

8:00 am to 3:00 pm Satellite Registration at Barangay Batinguel

NOTE: There will be a Special Exclusive Registration for PWDs and Senior Citizens on September 5, 2018, 8:00 am to 3:00 p.m. at the Office of the Senior Citizens Affair (OSCA).
