Schedule of Activities
Over the last years Sandurot Festival was held together with the City Fiesta and Charter day. However, for this year it was decided by the powers in charge to cut it out of the fiesta celebration to give it an extra spot in the Festival calendar. When it was announced earlier in February this year that the Dumaguete’s Sandurot 2017 will take place in September many people were expecting something big to come.
The expectations that the Capital of Negros Oriental and the biggest City of the province will pull off something special were high. Finally, the Schedule of activities for Sandurot 2017 was released just a week before the celebrations starts. Sadly, this late publishing from the officials leads to problems for guests from outside Negros to get their visit scheduled with flights and hotel bookings. In recent weeks the DC-Team received multiple mails regarding the schedule, which we could not answer due to the lack of it. Our dearest apologies for that, but we rely on the information the official are willing to give (or not willing to give)

While the schedule of activities can’t be compared to the Festivals of other cities and municipalities in Negros Oriental where plenty of inter-barangay competitions, band competitions variety nights, celebrity shows and many more great events take place, we are convinced the organizers did the best to their abilities and the people of Dumaguete will have a great time.
