NORECO II – Press Release – Rotating Brownout
NORECO II just made a press release to announce the possibilities of a rotating brownout due to power shortages in the Visayas.
The press release sent out on May-29, 2015 reads as follows:
NORECO II is cautioning its member-customer-owner (MCOs) to expect and prepare for a possible implementation of a rotating brownout scheme within its coverage area.
This is to conform to the request of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines for Manual Load Dropping (MLD) due to generation deficiency of the Visayan Grid.
NORECO II is dependent on the advice of NGCP as to the time when to implement the manual load dropping and the amount to be dropped.
All MCOs are advised to take necessary precautions. NORECO II apologizes for this inconvenience.
It appears another round of the endless “Finger-Pointing”-Game has just begun.
National Heritage Month Celebrations
In accordance with Proclamation No. 439, s. 2003, the month of May of every year is National Heritage Month. National Heritage Month creates respect and love for Philippine cultural and historical legacies and raises support for their protection. Mobile License Renewal and ID Release – PRC
The PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) calls all professionals. The Mobile License Renewal & ID Release will be conducted at Robinsons Place Dumaguete on May 07 & May 08, 2015 from 08:00 am to 05:00pm.
For ID Request, please Pre-Register at PESO Office, 2nd floor Building 2, Public Market, Dumaguete City. For inquiries please call (035) 226 – 3530 or 420 – 9114.
Requirements for License Renewal
Teacher Requirements:
- Duly Accomplished form.
- 2 pieces Passport sized ID Picture clear, close up, colored, white background, with out eyeglasses in complete name tag (scanned picture are not accepted). Picture must be pasted on the form.
- 1 Photo /Xerox copy of recent professional ID card (back to back).
- In case of LOST professional ID card which is still current, the applicant shall submit notarized Affidavit of Loss and photocopy of Certificate of Registration.
- In case of DESTROYED professional ID card, the applicant shall surrender the destroyed card.
- For married female professionals who will apply for Change of Status (COS), also fill up Petition for Change of Status form and attach original NSO Marriage Contract together with this form.
Various Boards Requirements:

- For married female professionals who will apply for Change of Status (COS), also fill up Petition for Change of Status From and attach original NSO Marriage Contract together with this form.
NOTE: Representatives filling the application and claiming the professional ID in behalf of the professional must present Special Power of Attorney and any valid ID with picture of the professional and representative.

Property Tax Payment
The Office of the Treasurer of Dumaguete City announced in a release the Property Tax deadline for the first quarter. It is set for March 31, 2015. For in-time payment a discount of 10% is given.
