Buglasan Festival 2022

Schedule of Events

Buglasan Festival 2022 – Schedule of Events

Buglasan Festival 2022 is on! The biggest and grandest festival in the province is scheduled to make a comeback this October. Newly elected Governor Pryde Henry Teves is budgeting 13 million pesos for this grand comeback. Included in the budget are of course the materials for the celebration, cash prizes, awards, trophies, lights, water, sound, and staff. Since the Freedom Park is still under renovation, most of the events will be held at the Dumaguete City Pantawan People’s Park along Rizal Boulevard. City Mayor Antonio Felipe Remollo has positively supported and coordinated with the governor regarding the events.

With the new normal, older events that are marked as traditional will be celebrated once more after two years. The whole month of October will be filled with many minor events despite the pandemic. Standard safety regulations and protocols will still be observed as amended by national laws and local regulations of Dumaguete City as well as Negros Oriental.
