SSS Glitch

SSS Glitch affects hundreds of thousands of retirees. A computer database problem causes a big issue with the Social Security System (SSS)

SSS Glitch

The “SSS Glitch” as this small disaster is called is whipping out payments and contributions of members between 1985 and 1989.

Pensioners and Retirees are doing good in checking their records and payments.
They can email member_relations@sss.gov.ph.

Now, there is a video below about the SSS Glitch where a spokesperson mentions that there is everything under control, however they certainly said the same when installing the database system which shows now the computer glitch. So, if you or some of your family and relatives or friends have contributed to the system between 1985 and 1989 it might be appropriate to check the records personally and don’t trust another “all under control” statement.

Help victims of SSS glitch

Now, there is a good chance that many of this retirees are not familiar with the handling a computer or writing an email in general. Therefore, if you may have somebody in your surroundings who might be affected by this so called SSS Glitch, you might want to give a helping hand.

Affected are contributions between 1985 and 1998. Aside from pension, disability and death benefits are also affected.

It would be a shame if our older members of the community, who trusted the system and spend a significant part of their income to contribute to the SSS system suffer now from a “modern world” glitch caused by incapable programmers and database handlers.

We don’t have the copy of receipts on 1985-1989 payment but we have the details in our computer.
    Please give us feedback.
    Thank you!!
