The Sinulog sa Tanjay Festival 2018 kicked off with the opening program of the City Mayor’s official opening declaration and a few speeches from honored guests such as Sen. Cynthia A. Villar. It was not until past 11 o’clock till the first barangay group hit the streets to perform. With 24 group of dancers and nearly lunchtime, not many people watched along the streets.
The first half of the dancing groups were blessed sunshine and a few clouds. After about an hour and a half since the opening the sky darkened and it started to pour hard. This did not stop the groups to perform. In fact, they even smiled brighter and danced more graceful than anyone expected.
