The famous Sinulog Festival 2020 of Jimalalud or Sinulog de Jimalalud Festival 2020 was held last January 13, 2020. The street dancing and showdown competition was participated by 10 groups for the children’s category (elementary school) and 5 groups in the adult category (high school). Despite the heat of the sun, all the dancers and spectators, gathered at the streets and gymnasium of Jimalalud to celebrate the Sinulog. This festival held annually as a thanksgiving tradition to Sto. Niño (Child Jesus) for the bountiful year and harvest in the municipality.

Sinulog is one of the most famous festivals in the Philippines. There are over a hundred different variations of this festival all over the country. However, the grandest and biggest Sinulog Festival is in Cebu City. Still honoring the miraculous Sto. Nino, the Sinulog in Cebu also invites other festivals from all over the Philippines to perform and join in the big festivity.
