The Philippine National ID or the Philippine Identification System ID (PhilSys), is being implemented in the country under Republic Act 11055. The act was signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on August 6, 2020. The national ID will be used mainly for identification purposes. However, it will also be used in other ways as well.
