Philippine Election 2022 - Calendar of Activities

The Philippine Election 2022 is scheduled for May 9, 2022 as signed under Resolution No. 10695. The Commission on Election Office are in charge for the registration, filing of candidacy, and for the actual election. Are you registered as a voter already? Last day for filing of petitions for registration and manifestation of intent to participate of REGISTERING party-list groups, coalitions, or organizations.
October 1-8, 2021Filing of Certificate of Candidacy for all elective positions
January 9, 2022 – June 8, 2022
Election Period
Prohibited Acts:
– Transfer or movement of officers & employees in the civil service;
– Bearing, carrying or transporting firearms or other deadly weapons, unless authorized in writing by the Commission;
– Use of security personnel or bodyguards by candidate unless authorized in writing by the Commission;
– Suspension of elective local officials.
February 8, 2022 – May 9, 2022Prohibited Acts:
– Campaign on April 1&2 (Holy Thursday & Good Friday);
– Giving donations or gift in cash or in kind ect.;
– Appointment or use of special Policemen, confidential agents and the like;
– Illegal release of prison;
– Appointment & hiring of new employees, creation or filling up of new positions, promotion/salary increase;
– Construction, delivery of public works materials;
– Release, disbursement of public funds
– Campaigning abroad.
February 8, 2022 – May 7, 2022 Campaign Period for National Positions
March 25, 2022 – May 7, 2022Campaign Period for Local Positions

Eve of Election Day
Prohibited Acts until Election Day:
– Campaigning;
– Selling, furnishing, offering, buying, serving or taking intoxication liquor;
– Giving, accepting free transportation, food, drink & things of value;
– Voting more than once;
– Soliciting votes/ undertaking any propaganda for or against candidate or any party within the polling place of within 30 meters thereof;
May 9, 2022– Campaigning;
– Selling, furnishing, offering, buying, serving or taking intoxication liquor;
– Giving, accepting free transportation, food, drink & things of value;
– Voting more than once of in substitution of another;
– Soliciting votes/ undertaking any propaganda for or against candidate or any party within the polling place of within 30 meters thereof;
– Opening of booths or stalls for the sale, etc. of merchandise or refreshments within a radius of thirty meters from the polling place;
– Holding fairs, cockfights, boxing, horse racing or any other similar sports.
June 8, 2022Last day of filling Statements of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE)

Being able to vote is one of the privileges to every Filipino that are of legal age (18 years old) in a democratic country. Make sure you are a registered voter before the 2022 Philippine Election.
