Guest Houses and Resorts in Guihulngan City

The City of Guihulngan is certainly not a tourist magnet in Negros Oriental, even there is a lot to explore. Therefore the options for Guest houses and Resorts in Guihulngan is rather limited. However on our visit we found some nice and comfortable places to stay for a few nights. Most beach resorts in Guihulngan serve more or less for locals from the city and neighboring municipalities for having a great day at the beach and leaving again when the night comes. Most of them have some basic rooms for overnight stays. Some even offer air-conditioned rooms, therefore should also work for international guests who seek for a higher standard. Following an overview about some of the resorts in Guihulngan we visited.

Kinayan Mountain Resort

The Kinayan Mountain Resort is about a 15 minute drive from the city. Nestled between majestic mountains and lush green forest it is one of the favorite gateways in that region. Specially during the summer month the Guihulngans escape the heat to the cooler environment of the Resort.Three swimming pools – one of them a kiddie-pool with water slide- are located in a beautiful landscaped tropical garden and are perfect to cool down and have some fun.

Maria “Nena’s” Inn

Maria Nena’s Inn is an older guest house fronting the boulevard of Guihulngan City. The Guest House and its rooms are not directly at the street, but a little bit set to the back of the property. What makes the location special is the walking distance to the city offices and the market. We could not take any room pictures as all were occupied. However, due to the friendliness we experienced even during busy fiesta times we are sure that each guest will feel special at this place.

Rooms at Maria Nena’s Inn

Maria Nena’s Inn has 3 big rooms. 2 air conditioned rooms with 1 double and one single bed, shower, comfort room, small Kitchen area, refrigerator, small dining table and chairs. The room is good for 3 persons for only Php 1,300.00.
