The First Ever KADUMAHAN FESTIVAL!

Kadumahan, is a blend produced by combining parts of the words ‘kadagaya’ and ‘umahan’ which mean abundance on the farm. ‘Kadagaya sa Umahan’ or simply ‘Kadumahan’ is the newest festival of Ayungon celebrating the municipality’s richest.

Besides celebrating almost a century-old history and unique culture, the Municipality of Ayungon also takes pride of nature’s wealth found in its lush green mountains. In fact, this second class municipality is dubbed as the Rice Bowl of Central Negros.

Ayungon became a municipality in 1924. Since then, Ayungon has been firing up its economic dynamos to catch up with provincial developments while still retaining its charm and beauty through its vast and scenic rice fields, dense coconut groves, and expansive plantations of sugarcane, bananas, mangoes and pineapples.
