Miss Manjuyod 2019
Coronation Night – Negros Oriental
The search for Miss Manjuyod 2019 was held last October 2, 2019. Out of about twenty ladies who participated in this year’s beauty and brain pageant, only ten made it to the Selection and Coronation Night. During the Coronation Night, the ten ladies competed in four categories (production number, swimwear, evening gown, and Q&A).
Miss Manjuyod 2019 – Coronation Night
The Miss Manjuyod 2019 programs were quick and smooth. Thanks to the organizers of this year’s event, the Miss Manjuyod 2019 was spot on! Of course, with the invitation and hospitality of Mayor Dr. Felix A. Sy and Vice Mayor Raffy Alipio S. Andaya, the DC-Team were able to cover the event with ease.
Production Number
After the respective prayer and singing of the National Anthem, the candidates graced the stage with their lively production number. Wearing a red shinny crop top, shorts and skirt cape, the candidates showcased their playful side. After shouting their name and their representing barangay, they went backstage to prepare for the swim wear competition.
Swimwear Round
Manjuyod is known for its very religious beliefs and faith. Being a conservative municipality, the candidates did not wear a skimpy bikini that revealed too much skin. Instead, they wore an off-shoulder swimsuit that seems to be vintage-inspired. This only shows that you don’t need to expose too much of yourself to be called “sexy” and appealing. The elimination round of the Question and Answer was made after the candidates paraded the stage.
Magical Evening Gown
After a short intermission and speech from the mayor, the candidates came back on stage to once again grace the stage in their unique and magical evening gowns. There is no color theme for this year’s evening gown competition. The candidates’ handlers were able to freely design the candidates to any style and color of gown they seem fit. Honestly, most of the candidates look like princesses! Not long after the final Q&A, a new queen was crowned!
