Mabinay’s Langub Festival is celebrated on January 24 as the second of the Festival year in Negros Oriental after the Hambabalud Festival in Jimalalud. The celebrations start already a week before the actual festival date with many events.
Not being tired of Christmas and New Year celebration the annual Fiesta celebrations start already on 2nd of January and peak on Wednesday the 13th with the Sinulog sa Jimalalud, also widely known as Himbabalud Festival.
On December 27, 2015 at around 1:29pm an ash eruption occurred from the active crater of the Kanlaon Volcano. The ash eruption of Mt Kanlaon could be heard in the surrounding Barangays and Cities in Negros Oriental and Occidental.
Saturday saw the soft opening of the Amlan Nature and Adventure Park. Even the mayor of Dumaguete City dropped by to congratulate Amlan’s mayor Benthean Dela Cruz and all the busy hands for their achievement.

Sports enthusiasts from all over the province are participating in the countless events during the Governors Sports Festival 2015. The first events start already on October 3, while the last will be held on October 31, 2015.
The celebration of the annual Fiesta are always some of the busiest days for the municipalities officers and persons in charge to create great events. This year the festival celebrations in Valencia start first week of September and last until October 12.
The municipality of Manjuyod Negros Oriental is annually celebrating their famous Anihan Festival. The festival celebrates the bountiful Harvest of their products like root crops, vegetables and fish.
The Municipality of Manjuyod was one of the selected municipalities in Negros Oriental to be one of the beneficiaries of the FishForever Pride Campaign. The tourism office of Manjuyod was very busy to have this campaign successfully launched.
The annual festival celebrations in the City of Bais are about to start. The tradition of the Hudyaka sa Bais reaches back all the way into the Spanish era to honer the cities patron San Nicolás de Tolentino. While the actual Bais Fiesta date is in September, the celebrations start already mid August.
