Dalit Tayasanon 2024
Tayasan – Negros Oriental
The celebration of the Tayasan Festival 2024 during the ongoing Dalit Tayasanon 2024 festivities was held on June 09, 2024. Seven contingents joined in this year’s street dancing and showdown competition in Tayasan. As an annual Thanksgiving tradition, the celebration of the Dalit Taasanon Festival honors the town’s patron saint; St. Antonio de Pagua. Tayasan Mayor, Hon. Susano Antonio D. Ruperto III, was not only the force behind the celebrations, but also a fantastic host to the DC-Team.
Dalit Tayasanon Festival 2024 – Tayasan
The street dancing was held in the afternoon, with the sun smiling upon us. Thousands of Tayasanons and guests from all over the province lined up along the streets of the lovely municipality to witness the colorful costumes and well-choreographed street dancing.
After the street dancing competition and a short break, it was time for the Dalit Tayasanon 2024 Showdown. Of course, a short prayer and singing of the National Anthem were made before the opening ceremony started.
All groups of dancers showcased their special theme for their dance. Some were inspired by lechon, some by bananas and some by fish. The audience at the venue simply loved each contingent. It was obvious, that everybody in the audience missed the great event in the last years. Also the DC-Team was excited. We had a wonderful time in the north of our province. Thank you Tayasan! Your hospitality was exceptional. We are looking forward to our next visit at your lovely place!
