New SSS Contribution Table 2014

The Social Security System (SSS) has issued a new schedule of Social Security (SS) and Employees’ Compensation (EC). From January 2014 the monthly contribution for SSS will raise from 10.4% to 11% of their monthly salary credit (MSC). The raise of 0.6% will be divided equally between employee and employer.

This effects all members. Employers, Employees, Voluntary & OFW members and self-employed.

VM/OFW/SE members who have already paid their contributions in advance for the applicable months of January 2014 onwards based on the old contribution schedule are advised check their account and pay the remaining balance.

For all the self-employed workers and businessmen, they will shoulder everything the employee and the employers share.
