What makes this church special its captivating simplicity and enduring charm. Unlike grand stone cathedrals found in bigger cities, Siquijor Church Saint Francis de Assisi is built primarily from coral stones and hardwood. It reflects the resourcefulness of early builders. Its facade is modest yet dignified, exuding a sense of peace that welcomes visitors the moment they set foot on the grounds. Right in front of the church is a stone bell tower, which once served as a watchtower to protect the town from pirate raids a silent reminder of the island’s storied past.

Here’s a clear and simple guide on how to get to Saint Francis De Assisi from Siquijor Seaport:
The Saint Francis de Assisi Church is one of the easiest landmarks to reach from the Siquijor seaport because it is located just a few meters away from the port’s main exit.

1. Once you disembark at the Siquijor seaport, head toward the main gate or exit.
