Manjuyod – Negros Oriental
With a population of more than 42,000 people located in Negros Oriental north of Dumaguete, the municipality of Manjuyod has been an attraction to visitors from near and far for all the right reason. Getting to Manjuyod
Manjuyod is about 68 km north of Dumaguete City. Known for its white sandbar, Manjuyod is a good place to visit during summer or any time of the year.
One way in getting to Manjuyod is by a Ceres Bus. Riding a bus will take about one hour and a half from Dumaguete City and will cost about Php 85.00 for air-conditioned rides while the regular non-air conditioned bus will cost about Php 75.00 only. Another way in getting to Manjuyod is via a V-hire (van for hire). Traveling time will only take about an hour and a half as well from Dumaguete but will only cost about Php 70.00.

The history of this municipality in Oriental Negros dates back to the time when Spaniards came. It is one of the places where people chose to settle after where they initially lived became very crowded. It actually got its name from the early inhabitants.
