Magsaysay Memorial Elementary School (MMES), Dumaguete City is located in the Barangay of Pulantubig in the northern part of Dumaguete City and was formerly named Pulantubig Elementary School.
Brief History of Magsaysay Memorial Elementary School
Founded as Punlantubig Elementary School, it was renamed in 1956 in honor to the late late President Ramon Magsaysay During Ramon Magsaysay presidency. When the first concrete building was constructed after the temporary buildings were destroyed by a typhoon, classes were held in the houses of the teachers within the vicinity of the school during those periods.
Today’s Stakeholders of the MMES are: Barangay Buñao, Motong, Pulantubig (LGU), Hon. Lani Ramon, (LGU City Council), Mrs. Celeste Omoco- PTA Presedent. (Parents and Teachers Associations)

The Magsaysay Memorial Elementary School stands on 13,435 square-meters. During the school-year 2013-14 a total of 963 pupils were enrolled at the school. They are divided into 26 sections and guided by the same number of elementary school teachers. 4 non-teaching staff-members support the school to enable the smoothness of the daily business at the school.
