Kapaw Festival 2026 is just around the corner. Being first municipality from the south of Negros Oriental, Basay holds one of the grandest festivals in this municipality. This year’s Kapaw Festival marks the celebration as Bagong Basay ( The New Basay). Aside from the highlight events of the street dancing and showdown competition, there are plenty of other activities to see and enjoy.

March 12-28, 2026

7:00am – 4:00pm Market Bazaar Trade Fair along Rizal Street.

Thursday March 12, 2026

6:00am Thanksgiving Mass at San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish Church Basay.

7:00am Opening Salvo Parade from Municipality Park & Plaza to Gymnasium.

9:00am Opening Salvo Program & Inter School Marching Band Competition at Municipal Gymnasium.

Friday March 13, 2026

1:00pm – 3:00pm Bugsay Painting Contest at Municipal Park & Plaza.

8:00pm Congresswoman’s Night (Live Band) at Municipal Boulevard.

Saturday March 14, 2026

9:00am Pakura Racing Competition at Municipal Boulevard.

8:00pm Hiyas ng Basay / Miss Basay 2026 Presentation, Festival Costume & Talent Night Competition at Municipal Gymnasium.

11:00pm DISCO at Municipal Gymnasium.

10-BALL Open Handicap Billard Tournament at Eboy Billiard Hall.

8:00pm Hiyas ng Basay / Miss Basay 2026 Coronation Night at Municipal Gymnasium.

2:00pm Kapaw Festival Street Dancing from Municipal Park & Plaza to Gymnasium.

4:00pm Kapaw Festival Dance Showdown at Municipal Gymnasium.

8:00pm DISCO at Municipal Gymnasium.

Tuesday March 17, 2026

2:00pm Civic Parade & Headdress Competition from Municipal Park & Plaza to Boulevard.

4:00pm Sugba Sugba Festival at Municipal Boulevard.

8:00pm Gover’s Night at Municipal Boulevard.

Wednesday March 18, 2026

10:00am Concelebrated Mass at San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish Church Basay.

8:00pm – 2:00am Awarding Night & DISCO at Municipal Gymnasium.
