Dumaguete City Oathtaking Ceremony 2022
The Dumaguete City Oathtaking Ceremony 2022 was held yesterday, June 29, at the forecourt of the Presidencia Museum inside the City Hall complex. A few of the newly elected city and provincial officials took their oath in front of hundreds of witnesses, including several city government workers, attorney, and the media. The oathtaking was conducted by Supreme Court Justice Ricardo Rosario and Court of Appeals Justice Charlene Azura.

The winners of this year’s Philippine Election 2022 took their oath along with their respective families. The program started with of course the signing of national anthem. This was followed by the Inter-Faith Prayer lead by Reverend Monsignor Robert A. Bongoyan, HP Diocese of Dumaguete; Reverend Leny I. Jovita of the Silliman University Church and Imam Abdul Maula Mushin of the Muslim community. Then the officials were formally welcomed one by one on stage with their families to take the oath.
First to take the oath is Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo. Then newly elected City Vice Mayor Ma. Isabel Sagarbarria. Among those also took their oath of office are 2nd District Representative Manuel T. Sagarbarria, Board Member Manuel L. Sagarbarria, Board Member Woodrow S. Maquiling Sr. and City Councilors Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Franklin D. Esmeña Jr. and Rey Lyndon T. Lawas.

Meanwhile, the other seven city councilors took their oathtaking on June 28, 2022. These councilors-elect are (left to right) Agustin Perdices, Marife Cordova, Tonyrems Remollo, Bernice Elmaco, Joe Kenneth Arbas, JV Imbo and Jose Petit Baldado, . This was held at the Recuerdo De Jose Event Place in Motong, Dumaguete City.
