Starting February 1, 2021, Dumaguete City Water District merged venture companies with Metro Pacific Water and is now known as Metro Dumaguete Water. All accounts from the DCWD will be transferred to the MDW system and all related services will still be offered.

For most of the people in Dumaguete City, water is a given thing. Responsible for the connections to the supply within the City is the Dumaguete City Water District (DCWD). Most people know the main office in Daro from paying their water bill monthly. The procedures to apply for a connection to the net of the city and the re connection or a name change are straight forward. If one has all his documents handy, it can be done in a very short amount of time. Below we listed the standard procedures and requirements step by step to minimize the time at the office of the Dumaguete City Water District.

Application for Water Service Connection

Who can avail the service?
All residential, commercial and government institution within the City of Dumaguete.

Requirements:

  • Any valid gov’t/company issued ID or Cedula (photocopy) (non-refundable/6 months validity) (applicant & lot owner)
  • Proof of ownership of area applied such as OCT/TCT (photocopy). In the absence of any documents mentioned, a notarized waiver will do.

Schedule of Service availability:
Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Steps to avail the service:

  1. Secure Application Form at the CUSTOMER’S SERVICE DESK
  2. Pay the Processing Fee
  3. Fill-out the Application Form and submit it together with other requirements to the CUSTOMER’S SERVICE DESK
  4. Get the “filled-out” Application form from the CUSTOMER’S SERVICE DESK
  5. Pay the Installation Fee
  6. Return the Application Form and present the O.R. to the CUSTOMER’S SERVICE DESK
  7. Proceed to PUBLIC ASSISTANCE & COMPLAINTS DESK for irregularities, delays and suggestions.

Application for Water Service Reconnection

Who can avail the service?
All residential, commercial and government institution within the City of Dumaguete.

Requirements:

  • Old water bill or Old Official Receipt
  • Proof of Ownership as I.D. and the like
  • Authorization from the owner to his/her representative

Schedule of Service availability:
Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm

Fees:
Reconnection Fee: 300.00
Note: Less 150.00 if Voluntary Closure fee was paid upon disconnection.

Steps to avail the service:

  1. Secure Application Form at the CUSTOMER’S SERVICE DESK
  2. Fill-out the Application Form and submit together with the other requirements to the CUSTOMER’S SERVICE DESK
  3. Pay the water bill account at the Teller
  4. Pay the Reconnection Fee at Teller #1.
  5. Wait for reconnection at site
  6. Proceed to PUBLIC ASSISTANCE & COMPLAINTS DESK for irregularities, delays and suggestions.

Note. If disconnected more than six (6) months, Application for Water Service Connection Procedure is applied.
