The Amador Dagudag Memorial Elementary School (ADMES) is known to many Dumagueteños as Lo-oc Elementary School. It became the East Elementary School before it changed in 1969 to the name it is still called nowadays. The school is located along Flores Avenue north of the seaport in Dumaguete.

Brief History of Amador Dagudag Memorial Elementary School

Amador Dagudag Memorial Elementary School (ADMES) in Dumaguete was established in 1969. The first school at nowadays location started with four levels from Grades I – IV and was known as Lo-oc Elementary School back in 1927. Few years later it became a complete elementary school and called East City Elementary School. In 1969, a resolution to change the name of the school was passed and approved by the city in honor of the late Mr. Amador Delfin Dagudag for his heroic act in protecting the ballots during election.

During school year 2013-14 a total number of 419 pupils were enrolled in the Amador Dagudag Memorial Elementary School. 13 sections in 6 grades were taught by the 13 elementary teachers of the school. Two additional staff members support the teachers in their daily business.

Some of Alumni of this school are Mrs: Lirio P. Ablong, Mrs. Evangelin B. Lagaras , also Mrs. Pricilla Magsayo They are graduated is this school, and prove their love in their school, just to return a few years later after finishing their studies to become teachers at the school.
